Understanding CRS

What is the CRS Score?

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a points-based system used to assess and score your Express Entry profile. The higher your score, the better your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.

Your score is calculated based on your age, education, language ability, Canadian work experience, and other factors. Scores range from 0 to 1,200.

Your CRS score gets you the invitation. Your letter gets you approved.
After you receive your ITA, IRCC will review every document you submit, including your employment reference letters. Make sure they match your NOC duties exactly.
